Wiltshire Cop Hospitalised After Being Hit by Car
A Wiltshire police officer was rushed to hospital after being deliberately struck by a car while on duty late last night.
Driver Deliberately Targets Officer on Patrol
The drama unfolded around 11:30 p.m. on Conscience Lane. The officer, patrolling in a marked car, spotted a vehicle parked suspiciously in a field. Approaching to investigate and engage with the occupants, the situation quickly turned dangerous.
Instead of cooperating, the driver sped off and deliberately collided with the officer’s vehicle, causing serious injury.
Officer Treated and Released, Police Launch Appeal
The injured officer was taken to hospital but has since been discharged and is expected to make a full recovery at home.
Duty Superintendent Conway Duncan described the incident as “significant,” condemning the driver for intentionally harming an officer simply doing their job.

Wiltshire Police are now appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to come forward and help with their ongoing investigation.
