Emergency Services in Portsmouth Slammed as Demand Soars Beyond Capacity
Life-Threatening Cases Only
Emergency response teams in Portsmouth and South East Hampshire are struggling to keep up. The demand for help far outstrips available capacity. The Emergency Department is now treating only life-threatening conditions and injuries.
All other patients are being redirected to alternative services to ease the strain. The move aims to ensure critical cases get the urgent attention they need.
