Emergency crews raced to Royal Approach Road in Ramsgate on Friday night after a car erupted in flames. Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were called at 7:56pm to tackle the blaze.

Two fire engines arrived quickly, unleashing Compressed Air Foam Systems (CAFS) to douse the fiery vehicle. A Kent Fire and Rescue spokesperson said:
“Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a car on fire on Royal Approach Road, Ramsgate. Two fire engines attended and crews used Compressed Air Foam Systems to extinguish the flames. One person was passed into the care of South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb).”
The fire was finally out by 9:50pm. The cause is still unknown, though investigators may launch a probe if anything suspicious emerges.
