Blazing Inferno at Great Blakenham Recycling Plant
A fierce fire is raging at the recycling plant on Gripping Lane, Great Blakenham. Scores of firefighters are battling the blaze amid thick smoke clouds.
Residents Urged to Stay Safe
Andy Smith of 123 Gipping Lane warned locals: “Due to the high level of smoke, please keep your windows and doors closed.”
Not the First Fiery Nightmare
Last month, firefighters spent over six grueling hours tackling a similar blaze at the Sackers 1 yard in Great Blakenham. Around 300 tonnes of scrap metal and car shells were ablaze, causing serious challenges.
