Brighton’s Royal Pavilion Christmas Ice Rink is Back – and Powered by Renewable Energy!

Glide into Christmas from October 29

The UK’s most iconic Christmas ice rink returns this festive season at Brighton’s stunning Royal Pavilion. Open from October 29, 2022, until January 8, 2023, skating fans can grab their tickets online from noon on 21st September at www.royalpavilionicerink.co.uk.

Skate in the UK’s Most Beautiful Setting

Since 2010, this rink has dazzled visitors with its crystal-clear ice and majestic backdrop – the Royal pleasure palace in Brighton. It’s not just a pretty face either; it’s the UK’s ONLY Christmas ice rink powered entirely by renewable energy.

“It is vital that events like ours – which are all about having fun – ensure that this does not come at a cost to the environment,” said Shella Parkin, MD of Laine Ltd, the company behind the rink. “We strongly believe that Christmas rinks like ours must choose renewable energy to meet their power needs.”

Festive Fun for All Ages

As night falls, the rink lights up, creating a truly magical Christmas atmosphere. Nestled in Brighton’s lively North Laine district, visitors can combine skating with festive shopping at quirky independent stores nearby.

The rink features a huge main area for experienced skaters, plus a separate beginner’s rink with penguin skate aids – perfect for kids and novices to gain confidence on ice. Not skating? No problem. You can relax for free at the rink-side Bar & Kitchen or enjoy the outdoor viewing areas.
