In a shocking security lapse, the Prime Minister’s personal mobile number has been exposed online. The Sun revealed pranksters shared an audio clip capturing the phone ringing — complete with the PM’s own answerphone message.

A Downing Street spokesman refused to comment, saying: “We don’t comment on security matters.” The number leaked is one Mr Sunak has used for years, going back to his time as chancellor and through last year’s leadership fight.
Old Number Still Active Despite Reported Change
Though reports claimed Sunak got a new number almost a year ago, the viral audio suggests his old personal number remains active. Earlier this month, Sunak admitted to the UK Covid-19 Inquiry he couldn’t retrieve WhatsApp messages from this very number because of missing backups and phone swaps.
