Serious Crash on Wareham Bypass: Police Urge Witnesses and Dashcam Owners to Speak Up
Major Collision Shuts Down A351
A serious crash involving a grey Ford C-Max and a black Triumph motorcycle brought traffic to a standstill on the A351 Wareham bypass near the A352 Worgret Road junction. The smash happened at around 4:50pm on Sunday, 12 May 2024.
Motorcyclist Suffers Life-Changing Injuries
The biker, a man in his 50s from Poole, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries described as life-changing. The driver of the Ford sustained only minor injuries in the collision.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Road closures remained until about 7:30pm while emergency crews cleared the scene and conducted investigations.
Police Sergeant Dave Cotterill from the traffic unit said: “I am carrying out enquiries to establish what happened and am keen to speak to any witnesses who were in the area. I would also like to hear from any motorists who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
He added: “Finally, I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place.”
