A converted loft in a two-storey house went up in flames, sparking a swift response from the London Fire Brigade. Crews deployed a 32-metre turntable ladder to tackle the fire from above, battling the blaze that engulfed the roof space.

One woman managed to flee the burning property before firefighters arrived. Meanwhile, brave crews rescued a dog and two cats from a neighbouring house as a precautionary measure, ensuring their safety amid the chaos.
Smoke Fills the Area – Residents Urged to Stay Safe
Station Commander Thomas Sharp, present at the scene, warned: “There is quite a bit of smoke in the area, so local residents are advised to keep their windows and doors closed.” The fire service urged caution while keeping the community informed.
Rapid Response from Multiple Fire Stations
The Brigade was called out at 1.24pm and brought the fire under control by 3.07pm. Firefighters from Wandsworth, Chelsea, Tooting, Clapham, and Fulham rushed to the scene to assist with the emergency.
