Smoking Towel Sparks Kitchen Blaze in Totland
A smoking towel triggered a kitchen fire at a Totland home on Thursday evening, sending firefighters rushing to the scene.
Freshwater Fire Crew Douse Flames
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was called to Alum Bay Old Road just after 6pm. A crew from Freshwater arrived quickly and used breathing apparatus and a hose to tackle the blaze caused by several towels catching alight.
Quick Response Saves the Day
Thankfully, the fire was brought under control swiftly, preventing further damage to the property.
