The city exploded with colour and cheer yesterday as the Brighton Festival Children’s Parade kicked off the annual festivities in spectacular style. For more than 25 years, this beloved event has spotlighted the creative talents of local schoolkids — and this year was no different.

Thousands Take to the Streets

Nearly 80 schools from tots to teens took part, with over 5,000 youngsters marching proudly. The crowd? More than 10,000 strong, making it the UK’s biggest yearly children’s event. The energy was electric, with kids beaming as they showed off their hard work and creativity.

A Celebration of Local Talent

This parade isn’t just an event — it’s a community celebration. The pride and joy on the young participants’ faces said it all as they danced, sung, and showcased incredible costumes designed and made by themselves.
