£4,000 Worth of E-Cig Gear Stolen in New Milton Raid
Thieves have hit a New Milton vape shop, making off with up to £4,000 worth of electronic cigarette gear. The break-in happened overnight between 6pm on Tuesday, March 8 and 8am the next day.
High-Value Vape Haul
The stolen stash includes atomisers, batteries, mouthpieces, and other accessories from top brands like Smok, Coolfire, and Fuchai. Police fear the loot is now being sold on illegally, putting under-16s at risk.
Safety Fears Over Stolen Vape Equipment
Staff at the store enforce a strict over-18 policy to ensure customers know how to use and assemble the kits safely. But the stolen parts, many incompatible, may be ended up in the wrong hands. If assembled incorrectly, devices can overheat, catch fire, or even explode.
PC Anthony Thurston from New Milton Police said: “Some equipment has already been returned by worried parents, and it’s clear some has been put together dangerously.”
Police Issue Urgent Warning
PC Thurston urged anyone who has bought or been given e-cigarettes outside licensed shops to come forward. “Please hand in any vape equipment to your local police station or call 101 quoting ref 44160096101,” he added.
