Missing schoolgirl Mariama Kallon vanished after school in Bermondsey on Thursday, 9 February. The 13-year-old failed to return home, sparking a desperate search.
Not the First Time Mariama Has Gone Missing
Mariama has a history of disappearing overnight. Usually, she returns to school the next day. But her school was shut on Friday, 10 February, and it’s currently half-term, leaving her whereabouts a mystery.
Two Sightings but Still Missing
- First sighting: Friday morning, 10 February, near Markham Street, Southwark.
- Second sighting: Monday afternoon, 13 February, on Riddons Road, Lewisham.
Police Concern Grows
Detective Sergeant Dick Nation from the Central South Missing Persons Unit warned: “We believe Mariama is avoiding going home. Since her school closed, she’s been out of contact much longer than usual.”
He added, “There is no evidence she’s in danger, but after this long, we are worried. She’s only 13, and we don’t know where she is or who she’s with. We don’t know if responsible adults are around.”
