Man Found Hiding in Coach Engine Near Lee Green
Just before 6:50am on Friday, police were scrambled to Eltham Road, close to Courtland Avenue in Lee Green, after a shocking discovery. A man was found stashed inside the engine compartment of a coach that arrived from France.
Emergency Services Rush to the Scene
Officers, along with London Ambulance Service" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade, quickly descended on the spot. The man was detained as a precaution and rushed to hospital for checks.
Investigation Underway
A Met Police spokesperson confirmed: “We were called at 06:48hrs on 24 February, after a man was found in the engine compartment of a coach in Eltham Road, close to the junction with Courtland Avenue, SE12. The coach had arrived from France.”
They added, “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”
Meanwhile, London Ambulance Service said an ambulance crew and incident response officer were sent after reports of the incident at 6:55am.
