Fire Tears Up Roof and Basement
A fierce fire engulfed part of a building’s roof and basement, sparking panic as flames spread through the entire extraction system from bottom to top.

Station Commander Nathan Hobson, at the scene, said: “The fire travelled via the extraction system to the roof. Our crews acted fast to bring it under control.”
Seven people evacuated before firefighters arrived.
Road Closed, Residents Warned
High Road remains closed while crews work to secure the area. Residents nearby were told to keep windows and doors shut due to lingering smoke.
Emergency Services on the Scene
- The London Fire Brigade received nine emergency calls about the blaze.
- Fire services were called at 6.04pm and had the fire under control by 8.39pm.
- Teams from Tottenham, Hornsey, Southgate, Edmonton, and nearby stations rushed to tackle the flames.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
