Blazing Inferno at Fontwell Fuel Station Sparks Evacuation

A massive fire tore through a fuel station on the A27 at Fontwell this morning. The nearby hotel and service area were swiftly evacuated as flames engulfed the site.

Camper Van Blaze Sparks Petrol Station Fire

The drama started just after 10am when a camper van caught fire on the petrol station forecourt. The blaze quickly spread, threatening the entire fuel station. Crews from Chichester and Bognor, with three fire engines in total, rushed to the scene to tackle the inferno.

Emergency Services Bombarded with Calls

A West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We received multiple calls this morning reporting a camper van on fire at the petrol garage forecourt, with the fire spreading rapidly.

Firefighters are still battling the flames as the area remains cordoned off and residents stay clear for safety.
