Morning M4 Chaos: Crash Sparks Massive Delays
Just before 8:45am today, the M4 grind to a halt as emergency crews scrambled to a crash scene. Thames Valley Police, Fire, Ambulance services, and National Highways Traffic Officers are all on site tackling the chaos.
Traffic Nightmare: 2.5 Miles of Tailbacks
Both directions face around 2.5 miles of congestion leading up to the closure points. Drivers are warned to add at least 45 minutes to their journey times if planning to use the M4 this morning.
Follow These Diversions to Avoid Getting Stuck
Westbound travellers: Look out for the hollow square signs. Exit at Junction 11, take the 3rd exit onto the A33, then turn left on the A4. Stay on the A4 and rejoin the M4 at Junction 12.
Eastbound drivers: Follow the hollow circle diversion symbols, taking the above route in reverse.
