Marco Wittmann roared back to glory in stunning fashion at Sunday’s DTM race in Zandvoort, bagging his first win since the 2022 season finale at Hockenheim. The Schubert Motorsport ace started way down in 14th but blasted through the pack to claim a thrilling victory. This win also gave the BMW M4 GT3 its first taste of triumph this season.

Wittmann’s drive was nothing short of spectacular. From mid-pack, he pushed the BMW M4 GT3 to its limits, executing sharp overtakes and smart strategy. Even with a damaged left rear tyre that smoked heavily, Wittmann held off fierce challenges from Lamborghini’s Mirko Bortolotti to cross the line first. The crowd went wild as he climbed the podium.
Rast and Van der Linde Keep BMW Momentum
- René Rast bagged second place on Saturday, earning Schubert Motorsport’s first podium of the year. The German veteran racked up his 51st career podium in DTM – no small feat.
- Sheldon van der Linde kept consistent form with sixth and eighth-place finishes across the weekend. His charge on Sunday was particularly impressive, climbing nine spots in his #31 BMW M4 GT3.
ADAC GT Masters Drama: FK Performance Motorsport Perks Up
In the ADAC GT Masters, Dutch driver Maxime Oosten and Germany’s Leon Köhler stole the limelight with their second win of the season for FK Performance Motorsport. Starting fifth, they stormed to the front, trimming their championship deficit to just eight points. Their sister car, driven by Gregory de Sybourg and Eduardo Coseteng, finished twelfth and ninth.
