Arson Attack on Camberley Cash Machine

Police are hunting witnesses after a fire was deliberately set at a Sainsbury’s Local cash machine in Camberley. The blaze caused serious damage early this morning (Wednesday 3 July) at Heather Ridge Arcade.

Suspects Spotted on CCTV

CCTV footage captured a dark car—thought to be a BMW 5 Series or Audi A6—pulling up at around 3am. Three men wearing dark hoodies, hats, and face coverings got out and prowled the parade of shops for five minutes.

The trio returned to the vehicle, grabbed items, and then tried to trigger an explosion inside the cash machine using an unknown substance. Thankfully, no cash was stolen and the machine was not breached.

Possible Link to Yateley Incident

Police believe the attack may be connected to a similar firebombing in Yateley. Officers are working closely with Hampshire colleagues as investigations continue.
