Blaze Ravages House and Gardens in Midday Inferno
A furious fire tore through the ground floor of a mid-terraced house, wrecking the property and gutting garden sheds and outbuildings of two neighbouring homes. Miraculously, no one was injured.
Emergency Services Bombarded With 34 Calls
The London Fire Brigade’s 999 Control Officers were slammed with 34 calls, highlighting the scale and panic caused by the blaze.
Fire Started in Garden, Spread Fast
“The fire is believed to have started in the garden and spread into a house and two neighbouring properties,” said Station Commander Chris Jenner, who was at the scene.
The brigade was alerted at 12:57pm and battled the flames until 2:07pm. Fire crews rushed in from Poplar, Shadwell, East Greenwich, Homerton, Bethnal Green, and Greenwich stations to tackle the inferno.
Cause Still Under Investigation
Authorities are currently probing the exact cause of the fire, with investigations ongoing.
