Three children were rushed to hospital with smoke inhalation after a savage blaze tore through a three-storey block of flats in Enfield, North London.
Massive Fire Response in Early Morning Chaos
The London Fire Brigade sprang into action, dispatching ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters to the scene on Maybury Close. The emergency call came in at 5.19am on Monday, with crews racing from stations across Enfield, Edmonton, Chingford, Tottenham, Woodford, and Southgate.
Roof and Second Floor Reduced to Ash Amid Fiery Mayhem
The fire gutted the roof and second floor of the building. Fourteen residents had already escaped before firefighters arrived. Two of the Brigade’s 32-metre turntable ladders fought the flames from above, while the Drone Team provided crucial aerial footage to direct the operation.
