Hair-Dye Fines and Lockdown Rule Breakers Hit in South Wales
Two people got slapped with fines after dying their hair in a Langland Bay car park on the Gower Peninsula near Swansea. It’s the latest crackdown as South Wales Police crack down hard on lockdown breaches.
370 Fixed Penalty Notices Issued Over Weekend
Police handed out a whopping 370 fines over the weekend. With the sunnier weather, crowds flocked to beauty spots, ignoring lockdown rules. The force’s chief superintendent warned the public to stick to the rules and stop the risky behaviour.
Seaside Visits and House Parties Targeted
- Fines were also handed out to those travelling to seaside spots like Southerndown, Penarth in the Vale of Glamorgan, and Bracelet Bay in Mumbles, Swansea.
- A large gaggle of penalty notices—105 in total—went to people caught at eight house parties in Cathays, Cardiff.
- To stem the flow, car parks at popular beauty spots were shut over the weekend.
