Three children have been named after they tragically died in a devastating house fire in East Ham. The blaze tore through a terraced home on Napier Road just after 8.30am on Saturday, 13 July.

Despite a rapid emergency response, seven-year-old Muhammad Hanan Malik, 11-year-old Aayat Malik, and 13-year-old Nakash Malik could not be saved.

Their devastated parents, Khurram Malik and Naumana Gul Khan, released a moving statement: “Your lives were a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. May you rest in peace in God’s heaven.”

Investigation Underway, No Suspicious Activity Found

The Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade are investigating the cause of the fire. A police spokesperson confirmed, “At this stage, there is no evidence to indicate suspicious circumstances.”

East Ham residents have been deeply affected by the tragedy. Locals and school friends have left flowers and heartfelt messages outside the family’s home. A vigil is planned later this week to honour Muhammad, Aayat, and Nakash.
