Isle of Wight Mourns Beloved Firefighter Roe Sprack
The Isle of Wight community is in shock after the sudden death of former Ryde Crew Manager Roe Sprack. Known for his fierce dedication and fiery spirit, Roe was a local hero who saved countless lives and homes.
Colleague’s Touching Tribute
Fellow firefighter Damon Corr honoured Roe with heartfelt memories from their early days on the job. “We had a gentleman’s agreement to alternate duties. No matter what emergency came in, whoever got in first would stand down for the other without question,” Damon revealed.
He described Roe as “energetic, eccentric, loyal, and full of unique quirks.” More than that, Roe was the embodiment of courage and community spirit, always proud and ready to serve.
Legacy of Bravery and Self-Sacrifice
Damon added, “He was as proud and as keen to serve as any firefighter I’ve ever met. People in Ryde still live safely today thanks to his selfless attitude.”
Roe Sprack’s bravery and loyalty left a deep mark on Ryde and the wider Isle of Wight community. His spirit will never be forgotten.
