Harvey Nye, 19, Dies in Tragic A386 Crash
The family of 19-year-old motorcyclist Harvey Nye has paid a heartfelt tribute following his death in a collision on the A386 between Plymouth and Yelverton.
Fatal Crash in Roborough
Harvey lost his life at 11.55am on Friday 14 February in Roborough. His black Yamaha MT 125 was involved in a collision with a red Manitou Telehandler. Despite emergency crews’ quick response, Harvey was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Harvey Nye, aged 19 years of age, sadly lost his life in a road traffic collision. He was a kind, caring, loving young man who loved life. He loved his family and friends as much as he loved his bikes. He made an impact of laughter on everyone he met. He passed away riding his favourite MT125cc. As a family, we are extremely devastated and will never come to terms with what’s happened.”
The family has asked for privacy and urged the public to avoid speculation while they grieve.

The A386 was closed for hours while Devon and Cornwall Police’s Roads Policing Team investigated the crash. Officers thanked the public for their patience and appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to come forward.
