The dogs were snug in their beds, visions of juicy gravy bones dancing in their heads. Meanwhile, the cats and small animals settled down for a long winter’s nap, dreaming of cosy laps and cuddles.

But just as dawn broke, a sudden clatter erupted! The cats sprang from their beds, dashing through flaps and causing water bowls to spill as they rushed outside.

Shining car lights lit up the drive, and hearts raced with excitement. Who could it be? It was their beloved carers, arriving with Christmas cheer and gifts. Many of these animals had never known such kindness before.
