Manhunt Underway After Mother Fatally Stabbed in Bradford
Police are hunting Habibur Masum, 25, over the shocking daylight stabbing of a 27-year-old mother in Bradford city centre. The attack happened yesterday afternoon in the Westgate area, leaving the community reeling.
Horrific Attack Caught on CCTV
Eyewitnesses say the victim was stabbed four to five times in the neck while shopping with a friend — all while pushing her baby son in a pram. CCTV footage shows Masum, an Asian man of slim build, dressed in a distinctive duffle coat with grey, white, and black stripes, light grey tracksuit bottoms, and maroon trainers. He may also have been wearing a grey hoodie with the hood up. Masum is believed to have links to Burnley and local areas.
Community in Shock as Police Launch Major Search
The victim, of Pakistani descent, was waiting outside a convenience store when the attack unfolded. Local shop owner Geo Khan, 69, tried desperately to save her life, but she tragically died at the scene. Detective Chief Inspector Stacey Atkinson of West Yorkshire Police warned the public: “Do not approach Masum if you see him. Contact emergency services immediately.”
Police Plead for Information as Tensions Rise
Following the brutal stabbing, extra police patrols have been deployed to reassure locals. Bradford councillors and MP Naz Shah expressed their shock and offered condolences to the victim’s family and friends.
