200 Crammed into Illegal Rave as Man Fights for Life

Police stormed an unlicensed music event (UME) in East London early Sunday, May 16, finding around 200 partygoers packed inside the Kirtland Centre on Coborn Street, E3. Officers entered just after 12.25am and discovered a 20-year-old man unresponsive, struggling to breathe.

Man in Critical Condition After Suspected Drug Overdose

Officers administered emergency medical aid before paramedics arrived. The man was rushed to hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Authorities say there’s no sign of assault; police believe he overdosed on illegal drugs.

Hostile Crowd and Further Arrests at Raided Rave

Police from the Central East Command Unit, backed by the Met’s Territorial Support Group, battled a hostile crowd to shut down the event. They searched for others in urgent need of medical help and safely cleared the area.

Two teenage girls were arrested on site. Both face charges for possession of class A and B drugs and handling stolen goods. They are currently in police custody.

Police Urge Public to Come Forward
