Serious Collision on A21 in Sevenoaks
Four people have been hurt after a violent smash involving an emergency ambulance and a cement lorry on the coastbound A21 in Weald, Sevenoaks. Two of the injured are believed to be paramedics serving with South East Coast Ambulance Service. Reports say their injuries are serious.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene as Temperatures Plummet
The crash happened around 9pm on Wednesday night, as freezing conditions set in. Kent Roads Policing officers, firefighters from Kent Fire and Rescue, and paramedics all rushed to the scene to deal with the aftermath. Collision scene investigators have been working tirelessly for over six hours, using high-tech laser scanners to piece together what happened.
Road Closure and Ongoing Investigation
Dashcam footage from both the ambulance and the cement lorry has been recovered and is under review by police. The A21 coastbound remains closed while officers continue detailed investigations, alongside recovery and cleanup operations.
Both Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service have been contacted for further comment.
