Emergency services scramble to crash on Riefield Road

A nasty collision between a bus and a car in Eltham this morning has left two people injured and taken to hospital.

The London Ambulance Service (LAS) received the call at 8:02 AM reporting the crash on Riefield Road, SE9.

An LAS spokesperson said: “We sent ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, a member of our Tactical Response Unit, and an incident response officer. Our teams treated two patients at the scene before taking them to hospital.”

The smash has caused major delays in the area with emergency services working hard to clear the wreckage.

Motorists are urged to avoid Riefield Road and find alternative routes while recovery work is in progress.
