Body Found on A27 Shuts Down Key Brighton Route

Late-Night Discovery Sparks Road Closure

Parts of the A27 in Brighton were shut down late Friday after a body was discovered. The grim find happened around 11:30pm between Coldean Lane and the Woodingdean turnoff.

Traffic Diverted Amid Investigation

Authorities quickly set up a diversion to redirect traffic away from the closed stretch. Commuters faced delays as emergency services dealt with the scene.

Police Confirm Fatality, Next of Kin Notified

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services responded to an incident at the A27 Falmer at about 11.30 pm on April 7. Sadly, the body of a 49-year-old man was found at the scene. His next of kin have been informed, and a report will be prepared for HM Coroner.”
