Metal Missile Smashes Bus Window Injuring Young Passenger

Shock rocked West Park Road yesterday afternoon when a metal object was hurled through a No. 85 bus window at around 12:30pm. A young female passenger was hurt, leaving fellow travellers shaken and spotlighting the dangers of such reckless vandalism.

Chaos on the No. 85 Route as Bus Taken Out of Service

The attack could have ended in far worse injuries, threatening not just the passenger but others on board, including the driver. The incident caused physical harm and threw the bus service into turmoil. The damaged bus was sidelined for the rest of the day and the following morning, forcing just two buses to cover the entire route. Passengers endured lengthy delays and frustration.

Police Hunt Four Youths After Disturbance Near West Park Road

Authorities are appealing to anyone near Cumberland Green, Kent Avenue, South Park Road, and West Park Road between 12:10pm and 12:50pm who spotted suspicious behaviour involving four youths to come forward. Dashcam footage from passing vehicles could be key to nailing the culprits.
