Tragic Crash in Upper Poppleton Claims Young Man’s Life
Car Rolls Over at Dawn
Just after 7am on Sunday 13 March 2022, emergency services rushed to the scene near Upper Poppleton, close to the junctions of Newlands Lane and Hodgson Lane. A grey Peugeot 208 had left the road and flipped onto its roof.
Man Pronounced Dead at Scene
A 24-year-old man inside the vehicle was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released his name.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
North Yorkshire Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the car beforehand to come forward. They are especially keen to review any dashcam footage that might shed light on the incident.
