Ukraine’s Spy Service Blamed for Moscow Car Bomb That Killed Kremlin Ideologue’s Daughter
The Washington Post has dropped a bombshell report claiming Ukraine’s intelligence agency masterminded the assassination of Darya Dugina. The 29-year-old daughter of top Russian nationalist Alexander Dugin died after a car bomb blast near Moscow in August 2022.
Cat Carrier Concealed the Detonator
The plot was intricate and chilling. Bomb components were hidden inside a cat carrier, smuggled across the border by a mother and her 12-year-old daughter posing as innocent travellers from Estonia. The mother even rented an apartment in the same complex as Dugina to keep tabs on her target.
The explosive device was meant for Dugin himself. But in a twist of fate, he jumped into a different car just as the bomb detonated, taking out his daughter instead. Russia slammed Ukraine for the attack immediately, although Kyiv has consistently denied any involvement.
Kremlin Snubs Biden’s ‘New World Order’
In a fiery response to US President Joe Biden’s call for America to lead a new “world order,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov pushed back hard. Peskov agreed that the world needs a new system but warned it must not concentrate power in the hands of a single nation.
“The world must not revolve solely around the United States,” Peskov said, rejecting Biden’s vision as “American-centric.” This clash highlights mounting tensions as Washington seeks to reshape global power structures amid Russia’s ongoing conflict with Ukraine.
