Motorcyclist Injured in Collision Outside Shanklin Co-Op
Emergency crews rushed to Carter Road in Shanklin after a serious collision involving a motorcyclist near the pelican crossing outside the Co-operative supermarket.
Motorcycle Crash Sparks Major Disruption
The rider was thrown from the bike and is currently receiving urgent treatment from paramedics with the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service. Police arrived on scene shortly before 11am on Monday to control the situation.
Road Closures Hit Bus Services
The crash is causing widespread delays and road closures in the area. Southern Vectis confirmed that Route 3 buses from Sandown towards Shanklin are unable to serve Howard Road Bus Stop, 1 Park Road, or Shanklin Railway Station due to the incident.
