Hamas Hails ‘Heroic’ Assault Amid Deadly West Bank Raids
Hamas praised the Tel Aviv attack as a “heroic” act, calling it retaliation for Israeli actions in the Jenin refugee camp. Israeli troops had recently launched a “counterterrorism” operation there, killing 10 Palestinians.
According to Israeli police, the assailant deliberately targeted pedestrians, then exited his vehicle and stabbed civilians with a knife. The attacker, a West Bank resident, was shot dead by an armed passerby, police chief Yaakov Shabtai confirmed.
‘Home and Garden’ Operation Shakes Jenin Refugee Camp
Simultaneously, Israeli forces intensified their offensive inside Jenin, deploying hundreds of troops, bulldozers, and drones in the biggest raid in half a decade. The operation, dubbed “Home and Garden,” sought to dismantle Iran-backed Palestinian factions linked to recent bombings and rocket production.
