British Family Mourns After Hamas Massacre Claims Two Lives
The Sharabi family is devastated after Britons Lianne and Yahel were brutally murdered by Hamas gunmen during the horrific massacre at Kibbutz Be’eri on 7 October. Their loved ones remain in shock as the search continues for 16-year-old Noiya and their father Eli, who are still missing.
Heartbreaking Tributes to Yahel and Lianne
The family described an emptiness that can never be filled. Yahel was a bright and lively teenager, known for racing her bike around the kibbutz, playing football, and joyfully dancing and singing to TikTok and YouTube with her sister and British cousins.
“She had big dreams,” the family said, imagining Yahel as a future veterinarian, entertainer, naturalist, or even the first Israeli woman in space.
Lianne, their UK-born mother, was remembered as the family’s shining light. Known for her compassion and selflessness, she was always ready to help those in need. Her dry wit and humour kept everyone smiling.
“We will forever miss our beloved girl and keep her memory cherished in our hearts,” the family said. “Goodnight, Lianne. Rest peacefully.”
Britons Among Dead and Missing After Gaza Attack
The UK Prime Minister’s spokesperson confirmed at least seven British nationals have died in the Hamas assault on Israel, with nine more still missing in Gaza. This update follows figures shared earlier that week by the Chancellor, who reported six British deaths and ten missing.
The deadly attack has sparked intense airstrikes and a state of siege in Gaza, with the UK government continuing efforts to locate and assist its citizens caught in the crisis.
