Dozens Gather in Hove to Mark One Year of Putin’s Brutal War in Ukraine

Dozens turned out this evening at the Peace Statue in Hove to mark the grim anniversary of Vladimir Putin’s war on Ukraine. The atmosphere was sombre but resolute as supporters showed their solidarity.

Ukrainian Flags Raised High and Anthem Sung Loud

Many carried bright Ukrainian flags as a speaker led the crowd in a heartfelt rendition of the Ukrainian national anthem. The event was a powerful display of unity and support amid ongoing conflict.

Hosted by Local Groups with More Events Planned

The commemoration was organised by the group For Ukraine – Brighton & Hove alongside the Interfaith Contact Group. Community members were urged to join further gatherings tomorrow at All Saints Church in Hove.
