150 Firefighters Tackle Toliet Paper Factory Fire in Wolverhampton

Blaze rips through Wolverhampton Paper factory

A blaze has ripped through a factory in Wolverhampton tonight, flames shooting 20 foot in the air could be seen from Wobaston Road, Wolverhampton threaten to closed the M56 Motorway.

At the Height of the Blaze 150 fire fighters supported by 20 engine and two aerial ladder attended the incident that is still alight Six hours later. Fire crews from across the Midlands spent the night tackling the blaze at the large industrial unit. The cause of the fire in under investigation. Flames could be seen shooting out the roof of the building. Resident in the surrounding areas have been asked to keep there windows and doors closed. Up to 150 firefighters tackle huge blaze The fire at the factory, in Wobaston Road, Fordhouses, started shortly after midnight. West Midlands Fire Service said 20 crews from stations across the area had to be called to help bring the blaze under control.

Firefighters were among those to attend and posted this video on social media showing the scale of the blaze.

Flames could be seen lighting up the night sky as the fire took hold.
People living nearby were told to keep windows and doors closed with the fire at its height.

The road was closed between the A449 Stafford Road and The Droveway, but has since reopened.

It is also understood that one fire fighter was treated by Paramedics at the scene for injuires
