Woman Sexually Assaulted on Southampton Street – Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Police are hunting a man after a woman was sexually assaulted around 2am on Saturday on Southcliffe Road, Southampton. The attacker reportedly tried to touch the woman under her clothing before fleeing the scene towards Dover Street or Liverpool Street.
Manhunt Underway for Silver-Haired Suspect
The suspect is described as:
- White male, aged 35-55
- Unwashed complexion
- Between 5ft 6 and 5ft 9
- Large, slightly overweight build
- Silver or white, medium-length wiry, untidy hair and beard
- Wearing a shiny black jacket

Detective Constable David Jackson from the Western Investigations Team appealed directly for help:
“Were you out in Southampton on Friday night? Did you see anyone matching this description near Southcliffe Road, Dover Street or Liverpool Street? Please come forward.”
