Four arrested by Police after Man stabbed following attack Clown in Southsea

Police have arrested four people in connection with an incident in Sedgley Close, Southsea where a man was stabbed. A 34-year-old woman, two 18-year-old men and a 17-year-old boy, all from Southsea, have been arrested and are currently in police custody. The arrests come after a 28-year-old man from Portsmouth was assaulted at about 8.30pm on Thursday, October 27. Witnesses said a child, who was wearing a clown mask, and her family had returned from a community centre Halloween party. A resident of Edgbaston House, in Sedgley Close, said she heard a woman screaming the little girl’s name after the man allegedly lashed out at the youngster. Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Linda Howard said: “It has been reported in the media that this incident was sparked by an earlier altercation involving a child wearing a clown mask. “This is one of the lines of enquiry being followed.
