White Van Driver Leaves Cyclist Injured on Portsmouth Streets

A 62-year-old woman was knocked off her bike by a white van on Copnor Road, Portsmouth, on the evening of November 3. The hit-and-run happened between 7.20pm and 7.45pm near the New Road junction. Shockingly, the driver sped off without stopping.

Cyclist Escapes Serious Injury But Shaken

Paramedics rushed to the scene to treat the woman’s cuts and bruises. Luckily, her injuries were not life-threatening, but the ordeal has left her shaken.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

“We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision or saw a white van in the area around the time,” said PC Michael Batten. “The cyclist was lucky not to have sustained more serious injuries, so if you know who the driver of this van was, please get in touch.”
