Woman Sexually Assaulted in Bournemouth – Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detectives have launched a fresh appeal after a woman was sexually assaulted in Bournemouth’s Ensbury Park on Thursday night.
Attack on Boundary Road Footpath
At around 9.40pm on 24 November 2016, a local woman in her 20s was attacked while walking along the pedestrian path next to Boundary Road. An unknown man approached, pushed her to the ground, and assaulted her. Thankfully, a passerby came to her aid.
Suspect Description and Escape
The offender is described as a white male, 5ft 7in, slim to medium build, aged late 20s to early 30s. He has pale skin and short dark hair. On the night, he wore a black thigh-length coat and dark trousers. He fled the scene on a dark mountain bike with silver handlebars, heading toward Columbia Road.
Ongoing Investigation and Possible Links
Police have sealed off the scene for forensic examination. Officers are also exploring connections to two attempted sexual assaults earlier this September: one on Boundary Road (13 Sept) and another near Slades Farm woodland (14 Sept).
The victim is receiving support from specially trained officers as Dorset Police’s Major Investigation Team leads the probe. Anyone with information is urged to come forward immediately.
