Chaos in Portsmouth: Major Road Shut After Pedestrian Hit by Car
Police have slammed shut the busy junction of Alfred Road and Unicorn Road in Portsmouth this afternoon.
The crash has brought traffic to a grinding halt, with queues stretching back onto the M275 and gridlock choking the surrounding streets.
Pedestrian Injured in Serious Collision
A pedestrian suffered a head injury after being struck by a car at around 12.30pm, paramedics confirmed.
South Central Ambulance sent an ambulance and rapid response team to the scene, where the injured person is currently receiving treatment.
Drivers Urged to Find Alternative Routes
Police warn drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while the incident remains under investigation.
