Gosport Man Arrested After Woman Dies in Droxford Crash
A tragic crash near Droxford has claimed the life of a woman as police launch a witness appeal. A 36-year-old man from Gosport is now in custody following the fatal collision.
Fatal Collision on A32 Wickham Road
Officers from Hampshire’s Road Death team were called at 5:05pm on 23 August after a collision between a Mazda and an Audi on the A32 Wickham Road, near Droxford.
The Mazda was carrying three people – two women and one man – who were all rushed to southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton General Hospital.
Wiltshire Woman Dies, Others Injured
The woman in the rear seat of the Mazda, from Wiltshire, was later pronounced dead. The driver and the front passenger in the Mazda suffered minor injuries.
Gosport Driver Arrested
The Audi’s driver, a 36-year-old man from Gosport, was arrested in connection with the crash and is currently in police custody.
Road Reopened, Police Seek Witnesses
The A32 was closed in both directions from the junction with Cott Street to Midlington Hill but has now reopened.
