Plane crashes in Andover Pilot Escapes unhurt

Fire crews from Andover and Alton have been mobilised to plane that has crashed landed into field on Marsh Court Road Stockbridge. Crews were called just after 5.30pm on Monday afternoon. The pilot of the single engine light aircraft escaped without injury following the crash that is understood to have happened due to engine problems. The area were the plane came to rest remains sealed off. Firefighters from both stations made the area safe before returning to home station. A Hampshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “We were called to the scene last night at 5.43pm and sent two crews from Andover and Alton. The plane had crashed on landing at Marsh Court Road near Stockbridge.
