Man Arrested After Body Found on Woking Street
A local man was arrested today following a grim discovery on Monument Road, Woking. Police were called to the scene at 3am after a body was found early this morning, October 8.

The man faces suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, leaving the scene, and failing to report an accident. He remains in police custody as investigations continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Sergeant Eddie Ryan from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Although we have made an arrest, we are still appealing for witnesses. Sadly, a man has lost his life in this incident.”
He urged anyone who noticed unusual activity — like a neighbour arriving home late this morning or anyone spotting damage to a vehicle — to come forward. “If you were on Monument Road last night and have dashcam footage, please get in touch.”
