Hampstead Blaze Devastates Flats – Woman Dies in Early Morning Fire
Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters rushed to a massive blaze in a block of flats on Daleham Gardens, Hampstead, in the early hours today. An aerial ladder was deployed to tackle the flames threatening the four-storey building.
Heroic Rescue Ends in Tragedy
Fire crews bravely rescued a woman from the inferno, but she was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Around 20 residents managed to escape the building before fire crews arrived.
Fire Rips Through Building
The devastating fire badly damaged the ground and first floors, completely destroying the roof as well as the second and third floors of the block.
Road Closures and Fire Brigade Update
- The fire brigade was alerted at 1:52 AM and brought the blaze under control by 4:52 AM.
- Firefighters from West Hampstead, Kentish Town, Euston, Paddington, and Holloway stations remain on-site dampening down the area through the morning.
- Motorists are advised to avoid Daleham Gardens while operations continue.
