Masked thugs try to rob pub in Upham – staff member slashed in attack
Three men target Alma Inn
Police are hunting three masked men after a violent attempted robbery at the Alma Inn on Alma Lane, Upham. The trio, dressed in dark clothes, stormed the pub around 9.30pm on Wednesday 2 May.
Staff injured in brutal assault
The men attacked a male staff member in his 30s as he was opening the pub’s cash machine. He suffered a nasty gash to the back of his head that needed stitches, plus cuts to his lip. Luckily, the trio fled without stealing anything.
