Rucksack found full of drugs on M20 in Ashford

Officers who arrested two men in a car at junction 5 of the M20 found suspected drugs with the assistance of police dog Piper. The vehicle was stopped at 5.41pm on Sunday 20 May and, when searched, a quantity of white powder was found in the centre console and inside a rucksack. Officers also seized a knuckle duster. Two men from Ashford aged 25 and 29 were arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine with intent to supply. The former was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. Both were bailed to return to the police station on 7 June.
