140 Islanders Ready to Hit Gibraltar for 18th Island Games
Come July 2019, around 140 competitors from the Isle of Wight will compete across 12 sports at the biennial games. Events include athletics, sailing, judo, tennis, swimming, shooting, triathlon, cycling, table tennis, squash, badminton, and basketball.
Big Praise from Team Boss as New Kit Takes Shape
“We’re really excited to continue our fantastic partnership with ICRTouch,” said Martin Goodall, chairman of the Isle of Wight Island Games Association.
“They’re a global brand on the Island, and their support on the international stage is a perfect fit. This funding means our competitors don’t have to raise the money themselves – that’s a huge relief.”
The new kit design, featuring the Isle of Wight flag, will echo the iconic look from the 2017 Gotland Games.
Preparations Underway with Site Visits and AGM in Spain
Martin Goodall and vice-chairman Kevin Winchcombe recently visited Gibraltar’s sporting venues and attended the Island Games Association’s AGM ahead of July’s showdown from 6th-12th July 2019.
